Students are regularly directed to appropriate resources that support both in-class learning and independent study at home.

Al Barakah Books

Alhamdulillah, after more than 20 years of dedicated work, we have developed a powerful and comprehensive set of educational books designed to guide our students on their Islamic journey – perfectly aligned with our in-house syllabus.

These professionally designed books are written specifically for our students to ensure they are:

  • Aligned with our syllabus and learning outcomes
  • Clear, age-appropriate and engaging
  • Colourful and visually stimulating to enhance understanding and retention

Our core books cover the fundamental subjects that form the heart of the Al Barakah learning experience:

Islamic Studies Books (Books 1-5)

Our Islamic Studies book series offers a step-by-step, year-by-year progression rooted firmly in the Qur’an and Sunnah.

  • Each book builds on the knowledge gained previously, deepening students’ understanding of faith, morals, history and Islamic practice.
  • Topics are introduced in a structured and accessible way to nurture a lifelong love and appreciation of Islam.
  • This series is continually being improved and expanded with more books in development, Insha’Allah .

Qur’an Companion (Books 1 and 2)

Designed to help students learn to read the Qur’an with correct Tajweed rules, this series starts from the very basics:

  • From learning the Arabic alphabet to achieving fluency in reading.
  • Includes a comprehensive home learning guide, empowering parents and guardians to support their child’s Qur’anic studies outside the classroom.

The Qur’an Companion books aim to build confidence and accuracy, encouraging consistent practice and connection with the Qur’an.

Arabic Workbooks (Books 1-10)

Our Arabic workbooks are fun, clear and packed with activities designed to help students:

  • Develop skills in reading, writing and understanding Arabic – essential for engaging with the Qur’an.
  • Learn progressively, including focused study of the 30th Juz of the Qur’an.
  • Grasp the fundamentals of Arabic grammar and vocabulary, laying the groundwork for advanced Arabic studies.

Additional Resources

In addition to our core books, we offer a range of custom-made resources, including:

  • Hifdh Log
  • Ramadan Activity Workbook
  • Wudhu Poster
  • Salah Poster
  • Worksheets
  • And more…

Our books form the foundation of the Al Barakah learning experience, building strong Islamic knowledge and values from the ground up. While these books are currently not available online, they are actively used not only in our school but also supplied to other madrasahs.

Classrooms, Outdoor Spaces & Cafeteria

The classrooms we use are spacious, bright, and purpose-built to support focused learning. Each room is equipped with interactive whiteboards and projectors to enhance visual and engaging teaching. They are also designed to encourage active student participation and collaboration.

We believe that outdoor activity and fresh air are vital for a balanced school day. Our school features a secure playground with several enclosed outdoor areas for students to enjoy during break times, including football pitches, tennis and basketball courts, as well as bench seating and picnic zones where they can relax and socialise.

Our school cafeteria offers a selection of snacks and drinks at discounted prices, available to students in Class 4 and above. The menu is regularly reviewed to ensure it includes healthy, student-friendly options.

Al Barakah School Portal

To support smooth operations and high standards across the school, we use the Al Barakah School Portal and Management System a secure purpose-built all-in-one cloud-based platform designed specifically for internal use.

This system allows our teachers and leadership team to efficiently:

  • Maintain accurate student records, including medical information, allergies and emergency contacts
  • Track and monitor attendance, punctuality and behaviour
  • Record and access SEN details, learning support needs and pastoral notes
  • And more

By centralising key data, the system ensures that every student’s individual needs are clearly visible and easily accessible to those who support them – helping us respond promptly, consistently and with care. The Al Barakah School Portal and Management System allows our staff to spend less time on admin and more time supporting students effectively.

At Al Barakah, we prioritise investing in resources and infrastructure to build a supportive environment that supports an outstanding teaching and inspires lifelong learning.
