Alongside our core classes (Classes 1-10), we are pleased to announce that, insha’Allah, the following popular adult classes will be offered again this year

  • Ladies’ Tafseer class, 10am-12pm (taught by Sr Furhana Choudry)

  • Tadies Sirah class, 12-1pm (taught by Sr Zehra) – Starting from Saturday 13th September Insha Allah. 

  • Brothers’ Islamic Studies Course, 10am-1pm (taught by Dr Salman Butt and Br Junaid Dar)

These classes are run by experienced and knowledgeable teachers. We highly recommend that parents / guardians join these courses, to enhance your own knowledge and support your child’s learning.

If you would like to register for any of these classes, please complete the form or email if you have any further queries. We welcome new students and parents to attend and also welcome back our existing students, who do not need to re-register.

Beyond Al Barakah (Class 11)

Empowering Young Muslims, Modern Challenges and Islam & Science

Alhamdulillah we will be offering the Beyond Al Barakah course once again, with updated course content. Last year’s Class 10 students will automatically be enrolled into this class for September. The course is also open to new / external students aged 14-18 years old.

This is a unique youth course combining traditional Islamic knowledge, scientific insights, and practical life skills. Designed to help Muslim youth grow in confidence and thrive at school, university and beyond.

Alhamdulillah, it has been another truly blessed year at Al Barakah School – a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement.

Our much anticipated Awards Assembly was held, bringing together students and staff to celebrate the achievements of our learners. Masha’Allah, we are so proud of the effort, dedication, and progress shown by all our students throughout the academic year.

It was a lovely event, and we are sincerely grateful to everyone who made it possible – our amazing students, dedicated teachers and TAs, as well as our management, admin, and site teams. May Allah reward all your efforts abundantly, ameen.

This year was extra special as we also marked 25 years of Al Barakah, Masha’Allah!!! We pray that the school has been a source of benefit to many over the years, and that it continues to be a sadaqah jariyah for everyone who has ever contributed to its journey, Ameen.

To ensure safety and minimise disruption, parents/guardians are not permitted to park in the school car park unless they have a designated permit. Please park respectfully in nearby streets and walk your child in.

Please Do Not:

  • Block or stop near the school entrance

  • Park in disabled bays without a badge

  • Violate road rules (e.g., double yellow lines, driveways, double parking)

  • Cause inconvenience to neighbours

Please:

  • Follow guidance from our Car Park Team

  • Drive safely and respectfully

  • Use the recommended travel route (see map)

  • Arrive early or use public transport where possible

  • Consider carpooling or using public transport to reduce congestion

Class 11 – ‘Beyond Al Barakah’

Alhamdulillah we will be offering the ‘Beyond Al Barakah – Science, Contemporary Issues and Empowering Young Muslims’ course once again. Last year’s Class 10 students have automatically been enrolled into this class for September. The course is also open to new / external students aged 14-18 years old; if you would like to register for this course, please complete the form or email if you have any further queries.

This course is specifically designed to inspire and empower Muslim youth, offering a unique combination of traditional Islamic knowledge, scientific observations and practical skills. The 3 hour class – taught by Br Aamer Abedi – is open to youth boys and girls (it is a mixed class, with boys and girls seated separately) and aims to equip young adults with the tools and skills required to be confident Muslims at school, university and in the workplace insha’Allah.

We are really excited to be continuing Al Barakah School Youth Club from September! We are really looking forward to welcoming our students to the Youth Club InshaAllah  😊

Our Youth Club started after Covid-19, as the need for more support for youth was apparent especially with a huge rise in mental health and well-being issues, particularly in young people. This is a free service offering sports opportunities, confidence and team building skills, a safe space to talk, awareness of safer internet use and a variety of other workshops.

  • Who: Open to current Al Barakah students in Classes 7 to 11
  • How to join: If your child is in Classes 7-11 at Al Barakah and is interested in attending, and has not done so already, please complete the form (emailed)
  • When: 1.15pm – 1.55pm (we will need to vacate the premises promptly by 2pm), students to meet in the Cafeteria / Main Hall

JazakAllah Khair and Thank you to all those who supported our campaign – we are amazed and grateful that we have been able to raise a total of £22,247.55 through the school fundraising campaign ! That is an incredible effort from everyone involved and will help to feed over 45,000 school meals.

A special well done to the class winners of the fundraising campaign:

  • Class 3A raised a total of £2,454.00 and each student in the class has been awarded a ticket to Thorpe Park (alongside 1 adult)
  • Our Ladies’ Class raised a total of £4,130.25 and has been awarded a paid meal at Nawabs restaurant

All prizes will be arranged by Charity Right insha’Allah.

All fundraising efforts will be rewarded by Allah and also be appreciated by the school children. Charity Right will be sharing videos and pictures of these food donations over the coming months. May Allah accept our efforts, ameen.
